Bhaavya Roy-What’s one photography trend you love and one you dislike?

As someone deeply passionate about the art of photography, I, Bhaavya Roy, truly appreciate how trends constantly reshape the creative landscape. One trend I absolutely love is the return to natural, candid photography — the movement toward authenticity over perfection. Today, more photographers are celebrating real emotions, natural light, imperfect moments, and storytelling that feels raw and genuine. I think this is beautiful because photography, at its core, should be about capturing life as it truly is, not just creating polished, staged illusions. This shift back to honesty and emotion has brought so much depth and intimacy back into the art form, and it deeply resonates with the way I approach my own work.

On the other hand, a trend I dislike is the overuse of heavy filters and excessive editing. While I respect every artist's personal style, I feel that sometimes too much post-processing can strip an image of its authenticity. When colors are unnaturally altered or skin is overly smoothed, the soul of the photograph can get lost. For me, photography should enhance the truth, not mask it. I believe the most powerful images are those that embrace the natural imperfections — the textures, the real skin tones, the honest light.

In my journey as Bhaavya Roy, I aim to strike a balance: to stay inspired by evolving trends while remaining faithful to my belief that photography is about honoring real stories, real emotions, and the genuine beauty that already exists in the world around us."
